Committees
Committees are chaired by CoC Board members to solicit input from the membership on policy and planning decisions. The CoC Membership Council will vote to recommend adoption and/or approval of these policy and planning decisions to the SARAH Board of Directors.
SARAH staff maintains the following Standing Committees of the Board of Directors:
Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Advisory Committee
Point-in-Time Count Committee
Coordinated Entry Advisory Committee

HMIS Advisory
Committee
The HMIS Advisory Committee is responsible for reviewing new policies, procedures, customization, and plans for the local Homeless Management Information System. Representatives on the HMIS Advisory Committee need Executive Director approval from their agency and must be a decision-maker for the agency they represent. There will still be other opportunities for HMIS users to provide input, but this group is expected to represent local leadership with a vested interest in the HMIS as we make decisions about the future of the program.

Point-in-Time Count
Committee
The PIT Committee is responsible for developing standards for the local implementation of the annual census as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The committee reviews and approves survey methods and coordinates resources needed to perform the count.

Coordinated Entry
Advisory Committee
The Coordinated Entry Advisory Committee offers a forum for program stakeholders to communicate their opinions, share their expertise, and collaboratively manage the strategic direction, implementation, and administration of the Coordinated Entry system, including policy and evaluation updates.
